What is Coaching?Coaching provides an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce tangible results in their professional and personal lives. Coaches help people improve their professional performance and enhance the quality of their lives. Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs. They seek to elicit multiple solutions and strategies from the client without giving advice. The coach’s job is to provide support, offer suggestions and options and to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has. Why do people work with a coach?There are many reasons why you might choose to work with a coach. Here are few of the most common reasons:
How long do people typically work with a Coach?The length of a coaching partnership varies depending on the individual’s needs and preferences. For certain types of focused coaching, 3 to 6 months of working with a coach may work. For comprehensive life coaching, people may find it beneficial to work with a coach for a year or longer. Factors that may impact the length of time include: the types of goals, the ways individuals like to work, the frequency of coaching meetings, and financial resources available to support coaching. How often do people see a Coach?This varies between coaches and styles. I like to see my clients every week for 45 minutes per week. How much does Coaching Cost? Does insurance cover Coaching?This varies depending on the coach, style, experience and type of clientele. I typically charge between $750 and $1,000 per month for Executive Coaching and between $600 and $800 per month for Life Coaching. Currently, coaching is not covered by most insurance agencies. What is the difference between Coaching and Therapy?
